What are the Wiki Notes?

Jus Mundi's Wiki Notes is a directory of legal notes on over 250 ISDS legal concepts. This feature allows users to quickly pinpoint the key issues for a concept and access the most relevant case law.

The Wiki Notes is the product of a collaboration between qualified legal practitioners and academics, who write the notes, as well as our experienced Editorial Team, who edit the notes prior to their publication on our Website.

The Wiki Tree: Organization of the Wiki Notes

Our objective in creating the Wiki Notes is to allow users to instantly research a legal concept and, if need be, narrow down the concept to the desired topic.

To facilitate easy and fast access to the Wiki Notes, we categorize notes by legal concept in a drop-down menu we call the "Wiki Tree", found here. In other words, each legal concept is a branch of our Wiki Tree. Each legal concept is then further organized into sub-concepts (i.e. sub-branches of the Wiki Tree).

For example, "Procedural Issues" is a legal concept categorized as one of the Wiki Tree's branches. Procedural Issues is then further organized by sub-topics such as Abuse of Process, Admissibility, Bifurcation, etc.

Publication Process of the Wiki Notes

Each Wiki Note is authored by one or more volunteer legal practitioners or academics (our "Contributors").

The notes are brief, summarising a legal concept in as much detail as possible with reference to the relevant legislation, treaties, international case law, or other documents.

Prior to its publication, a note is peer-reviewed by a member of our experienced Editorial Team, all of whom are legal practitioners or academics. Our Editorial Team ensures the quality, neutrality, and utility of each Wiki Note. Once a Note has been peer-reviewed, it is finalized by the author(s) and published on our Website.

Update of the Wiki Notes

Our Contributors and Editorial Team regularly update the notes with recent developments, case law, or treaties, as the case may be.
