What is Jus Connect?

Jus Connect is a professional network tailor-made for arbitration. The Jus Connect platform helps you easily find Arbitrator, Expert and Counsel profiles with analytics on their caseload, work experience, industries, etc.

Jus Connect currently has over 35K profiles for arbitrators, WTO panelists, judges, counsel, & experts - and this number is growing!

Our network is built only on factual and validated information, so you can be sure that the results of your search are of the highest quality.

You can see the "Jus Connect" logo when you hover the Jus Mundi logo on the top-left corner, you can access by clicking on the Jus Connect logo that appears.

Another Jus Connect button can be found by hovering "Products" on the top bar of any page of the platform, you can also access by clicking on the Jus Connect icon from the tab that appears.

If you are on the Jus Connect search page, you can use the search bar to look for the name of the practitioner that you are trying to find. By clicking on their name, you will be taken directly to the individual's profile.

For instance, let's say you want to look for Toby Landau's profile. You can access it in two different ways:

1️⃣ Research the legal practitioner by using the search bar on Jus Connect.

Then, just click on their name and you will be taken directly to their Jus Connect profile page:

2️⃣ If you’re looking through a case on Jus Mundi and you see a list of practitioners who have participated in the case, click on the individual's name to be taken to their profile (a hyperlink will be available to you):

If you don't have any particular individual in mind yet, you can browse through the profiles on Jus Connect by using the filters available to narrow down your search results:

In just a couple of seconds, you will be able to find the most suitable profile for your case! ⌛

For example, you’re looking for a legal practitioner who is a female arbitrator that speaks French, but doesn't have a French nationality. On the right-hand side of your Jus Connect screen, select all the relevant filters ("Arbitrator" + “French” + "Female" + "Exclude selected nationalities"/"French"). You should now see a modified list of profiles that are relevant to your search, as shown below:

This filter allows you to select individuals who have acted as Arbitrators, Counsel or Experts in arbitration cases.

Whenever you select a role from the filters, you will see all legal practitioners who have acted as either Arbitrator, Counsel or Expert in at least one case.

If you are only looking for practitioners that speak a certain language, you can always use this filter to narrow down your search results.

For example, by selecting “English”, you will only see individuals that speak English. However, if you select "English" + "French”, only practitioners who speak both English and French will appear in your search results.

This filter allows you to find individuals from a specific gender (either male or female). For instance, it can be a handy tool if you would like to ensure a more diverse arbitration panel.

This filter enables you to either “Include” or "Exclude” any given nationality.

For example, if you want to see legal practitioners that have French nationality, you can simply select "French" to see all the individuals with this nationality.

You can also select more than one nationality - just keep in mind that if you choose Argentinean, Brazilian and French, for example, you will be left with those legal practitioners that have either an Argentinian OR Brazilian OR French nationality (and not those who have all three nationalities at once).

If, on the other hand, you want to exclude a certain nationality (e.g., French) in your search results, you can always activate the "Exclude selected nationalities" slide-bar instead, and then click on "French".

When using the "Exclude" feature, remember that if you select more than one nationality at a time, the practitioners that appear are those that won't have any of those nationalities. This means that you will choose to exclude Argentineans AND Brazilians AND French, for example.

Similar to Jus Mundi's Search Engine, there is also an “Economic Sector” filter on Jus Connect. This feature allows you to look for legal practitioners that have work experience in a certain economic sector.

You can choose a general economic sector or a more specific one to narrow down your search results further. For example, you can select “Agriculture, forestry and fishing" as a whole (which encompasses all of this sector), or just "Forestry and Logging" to see all individuals that have worked specifically in this field.

Note: for this filter we use the United Nations standards of classification.

Of course you can! The more filters you add, the more thorough and specific your research will be. Mixing & matching filters will allow you to:

✔ Get more precise results regarding your research for legal practitioners

No, you don’t need a subscription to join! Joining Jus Connect is free. All you need is a Jus Mundi Account. With a free account, you can create a profile, see a full list of individuals displayed on Jus Connect or use the filters to narrow down your search. Even if you are under a free trial or have a legal research subscription, these options are available to you.

However, if you’d like access to intelligent profile analytics on Jus Connect, such as the list of documents and list of cases, you can subscribe for a Jus Mundi premium account to enhance your search experience.
